Since I'm doing introductions..

I thought I'd tell you a bit about my little family, a member at a time (teehee....member). Today's intro will be about my husband, Jimmy.

This is the first picture I ever saw of Jimmy.

Cute, right?

I thought he looked like Clark Kent, which is what I called him whenever talking about him with my friends. "I've got a date with Clark Kent tonight!" We met on lavalife (a Canadian dating site) which I was kind of embarrassed to tell people at first. But now I realize, I don't really care if people think I'm a dork.

We met in February of 2007. By December 2007 we had bought our first house together. By February 2008 we were engaged, and by November of the same year, married.

Glamour shot.

Obviously I could talk for hours about him but really two pictures can sum up the kind of guy he is. He's the type of husband to get this cake made for my birthday.

And also the type of guy, when his (very pregnant) wife asks for apples and cheese to snack on, comes back with this and a big grin on his face.

Basically he's a very large kid. And I love it.

(Yes, both of my examples were food related. I like food. You'll catch on.)

  2. I met my husband (Craig) on Date.ca! I didn't like telling people initially either, but turned out a lot of people I knew were doing the same thing. Guys at the bar aren't quality guys.

  3. xxcaityx - Thanks! Jimmy will be excited to hear it :P Oh and it's not creepy at all! The ironic thing about the ham is I'm a vegetarian. The title's a bit misleading ;)

k8 - Very cool! And at least the way we did it, it allowed you to talk to the guy for a while first, before meeting him. Not like at a bar where you're all drunk and have bad judgment!
